MeAndYou

How MeAndYou works

From your first call to your first friend, here is everything MeAndYou does, step by step.

1. Sign in with your phone number

Enter your mobile number and the 6-digit code we text you. There is no password to remember. Google may briefly check that the request comes from the real app (not a robot) before the code is sent. Then add your name, date of birth (you must be 18 or older), gender, a photo and a few interests.

2. Swipe to meet someone new

On the Home screen, swipe to start random video chat. You are matched with someone who is online right now and see each other straight away. If you want to meet someone else, tap Next. During a call you can turn your camera or microphone off, switch between the loudspeaker and the earpiece, send a quick reaction and type in a small chat.

3. Choose who you meet (optional)

Everyone can be matched with everyone for free. Paid plans add a daily gender filter if you prefer to meet only men or only women for part of the day. See Pricing for the details of each plan.

4. Follow the people you like

Tap follow during the call or later from your History. Everyone you talk to for more than 5 seconds is saved in History, so you never lose a good conversation.

5. Become friends

When you follow each other, you are friends. Friends can message each other in the Messages tab and make friend video calls directly. You can choose to be notified when a friend comes online, sends a message or calls you. Read more in from strangers to friends.

6. Stay safe

Report or block anyone from the flag on the call screen, from their profile or from your chat. Reports are private and reviewed by our team. Learn more in our Safety Centre.
