Quick answers about MeAndYou: signing in, calls, friends, safety, plans and your account.
Is the app free?
Yes. Random video chat, following, History and messaging with your friends are free. Optional monthly plans add extras such as a daily gender filter, more messages and friend video calls. See Pricing. Free users see some ads; subscribers do not see ads in the app.
Who can use it?
MeAndYou is for adults 18 and older. The app only accepts an adult date of birth, and our servers check it too.
Which phones are supported?
Android phones running Android 7.0 or newer.
How do I sign in?
With your mobile number. We text you a 6-digit code; enter it and you are in. There is no password. Never share this code with anyone.
I did not get the code. What can I do?
Check that the number and country code are right, that you have signal, and wait a few seconds; Android often fills the code in for you. After 30 seconds you can tap Resend Code. If you asked for many codes in a short time, wait a while before trying again.
Why does the app sometimes check that I am not a robot?
To stop bots from abusing SMS codes, Google checks that the request comes from the real app before a code is sent. Usually this happens in the background. Occasionally, for example on a phone without Google Play services, Google shows a short "I'm not a robot" check.
Who will I be matched with?
Someone who is online at the same time and looking for a chat. Paid plans can add a daily gender filter. Tap Next any time to meet someone else.
Are calls recorded?
No. Calls are live between the two people and are never recorded or stored by MeAndYou.
Can strangers message me?
No. Messages and friend calls only work between people who follow each other. You decide who you follow back.
How do I find someone I talked to earlier?
Open the History tab. Everyone you talked to for more than 5 seconds is saved there.
How do I report or block someone?
Tap the flag on the call screen, or open their profile or your chat with them and choose Report or Block. Reports are private. See our Safety Centre.
The other person can barely hear me, or I can barely hear them.
Calls start on the loudspeaker; tap the speaker button at the top of the call to switch. Earphones with a microphone give the clearest sound. See tips for better call quality.
How do I cancel a paid plan?
Plans are Google Play subscriptions. Cancel in Google Play: Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. You keep the plan until the end of the month you paid for. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile, then Settings, then Delete account. You can also email us. See Delete your account.
