MeAndYou features

Everything you can do in MeAndYou: random video chat, following, friends, messages, friend video calls, History, your profile, notifications and safety tools.

MeAndYou is built around one idea: meeting someone new should be easy, and keeping in touch with the people you click with should be just as easy. Here is every part of the app, in the order you are likely to use it.

Getting started

  • Sign in with your mobile number and a 6-digit code sent by SMS. There is no password to remember.
  • Create your profile in four short steps: your photo and name, your birthday (you must be 18 or older), your gender and your interests.
  • Choose whether to turn on notifications. You can change this later in Settings.

📹 Random video chat, one slide away

Slide "Start Matching" on the Video Chat tab and you are face to face with someone online right now. Random video chat is free for everyone, with no time limit.

  • See how many people are online before you start
  • Turn your camera or microphone off, and switch between speaker and earpiece
  • Send quick reactions that float across the screen: ❤️ 😂 😮 👍 😡
  • Tap Next whenever you want to meet someone new
  • Drag the two video windows around, or tap one to make it full screen

🤝 Followers, following and friends

Follow the people you click with, during a call, from History or from their profile. When you follow each other, you are friends.

  • Connections shows your Followers and Following, each with a count
  • Follow back in one tap; tap Following to unfollow
  • "You follow each other" marks your friends in the list
  • Only friends can message and video call each other, so nobody reaches you after one random call
  • Get a notification when someone follows you or follows you back

💬 Chat with your friends

The Message tab keeps every conversation with your friends in one place, with search and unread counts.

  • See when a friend is online or typing, and when they were last seen
  • Ticks show when a message is sent, delivered and read
  • Delete a message for yourself or for everyone; delete a whole chat
  • Start a video call straight from the chat
  • Unread messages show as a badge on the Message tab

📞 Video call your friends directly

No waiting to be matched: call a friend from your chat. If they are not in the app, they get a notification.

  • You hear it ringing; your friend can answer or decline
  • Mute, camera on or off, and speaker on or off during the call
  • Leave the app and the call keeps going; a notification brings you back
  • Your plan sets your friend calls and call minutes each day; they reset at midnight
  • Missed a call? You can get a notification for it

🕘 Find people again in History

Everyone you talk to past a short time in random chat is saved in History, so a good conversation is never lost.

  • See when you last talked, how long the last call was and how many calls you had
  • Labels show who is a friend, who you follow and who follows you
  • Open anyone's profile from History to follow them

👤 A profile that feels like you

Add a photo, a few lines about you and your interests, so the people you meet know what you love talking about.

  • Name, age, gender, country and an About me of up to 500 characters
  • Pick your interests: music, travel, gaming, cooking, pets and more
  • See your followers, following and the reactions you got in video chats
  • Edit your profile from My Profile; the app asks before throwing away unsaved changes

🔔 Notifications you control

Choose exactly which notifications you get. Reminders are never sent at night.

  • Messages: when a friend messages you
  • New followers: when someone follows you or follows you back
  • Friends online: when a friend opens the app
  • Missed calls: when you miss a friend's video call
  • Daily reminder: an evening reminder if you haven't opened the app

🛡️ Report and block in two taps

Report or block anyone from a call, a profile or a chat. Your report is private: they won't know who reported them.

  • Reasons include harassment, nudity, hate, threats, scams, fake profiles and users who may be under 18
  • Add details if you want; reporting also blocks the person by default
  • Blocked people can't see your profile, message, call or match with you, and are not told
  • Manage everyone you blocked in Settings, Blocked users

Plans and daily limits

Random video chat with everyone is free, with no time limit. Optional monthly MeAndYou Plus plans, paid through Google Play, add daily gender-filter minutes (match only with women or only with men), more people you can message each day, and friend video calls with more call minutes. Daily limits reset at midnight. See Pricing for each plan.

Your account

  • Settings has Edit profile, Subscription plans, Notifications, Blocked users, Help & support, the Privacy Policy and the Terms.
  • Help & support opens an email to our team with the details we need to help you quickly.
  • Delete your account any time in Settings. It erases your profile, photos, followers, chats, call history and subscription. See Delete your account.
